    Hypertension also known as high blood pressure is a serious matter as it could lead to other serious illnesses. It is also called a “silent killer” for the reason that many people have this condition and are unaware of it. Our current fast-paced lifestyles have a lot to do with this condition as well.

    There are natural remedies for hypertension that you can implement immediately to get control over this potentially life-threatening condition. Some of the tips will be about lifestyle changes as we’ve already indicated that our lifestyles contribute to this condition.

    So, if you happen to have symptoms of this condition here is what they are likely to be;

    1.Headaches,
    2.Dizziness,
    3.Pains in the back of the neck and head,
    4.Fatigue,
    5.Palpitations,
    6.Difficulty Breathing,
    7.Frequent Urination, and
    8.Pains in the area of the heart in the chest.

    What else can cause hypertension? Other than our fast-paced lifestyles, our diets are key. Mainly we need to limit our intake of salt and fatty foods.

    So let’s look at some of the natural remedies for treating hypertension so that you can control it;

    1. Exercise – part of the problem with our fast-paced lifestyles is that exercise usually gets left out of our lives as we struggle to fit it in. Our bodies need exercise to function properly.

    There are simple ways to integrate exercise into your life. The best way is to actually dedicate some time daily to participate in some form of exercise for at least a half hour. If you are unable to dedicate time specifically for exercise then 1) park your car further than you need to and walk the little bit extra, 2) take the stairs instead of the elevator. Those are just 2 simple ideas of ways that you can slide some exercise into your daily routine.

    2. Potato & Banana – these are both rich in potassium. Potassium helps to balance the sodium levels in our cells.

    3. Lemon – drinking your water with a slice of lemon in it is actually very healthy. Lemon helps to prevent the fragility of our capilliaries that carry blood around our bodies.

    4. Caffeine – avoid it completely.

    5. Smoking – be sure to make every effort to quit.

    6. Alcohol – will only make this condition worse so avoid it or use in moderation

    7. Limit your intake of Salt

    8. Garlic – whether consumed raw or cooked is very beneficial for someone with hypertension. Raw is more potent so some people crush 2 cloves of garlic and eat them daily.
